Combining health and art is the challenge taken up by Jérémy Sordel, a physiotherapist and musician based in Dijon. With his project À Corps Majeur, he supports instrumentalists in preventing injuries, improving posture, and freeing musical movement. A unique approach serving both the body and artistic performance.

A qualified physiotherapist and passionate musician, Jérémy Sordel chose to connect his two worlds to serve a single goal: helping musicians play without pain. Through his project À Corps Majeur, he supports professional, student, and amateur instrumentalists in the prevention and treatment of disorders related to musical practice. His approach goes beyond pain management: it also focuses on optimizing instrumental performance, working on posture and movement to improve comfort, precision, and playing quality.

Trained with organizations such as Médecine des Arts® and Musician Care, he dedicated his thesis to studying musculoskeletal disorders in saxophonists, published in the journal Médecine des Arts. This research marks the beginning of an original approach: placing the body back at the heart of artistic performance.

His one-hour sessions take place in three stages: an individual interview, observation of the instrumental playing, and then tailored adjustments and postural advice. His method is based on listening, precision, and collaboration: understanding the movement to make it more fluid, more accurate, and freer. Jérémy offers home visits or welcomes musicians to his office, mainly around Dijon.

He also works with orchestras, conservatories, and music schools, offering workshops and training sessions on:

Among his collaborations are the Dijon Bourgogne Orchestra, the HEAR in Strasbourg, and the CRR in Dijon.

The numerous testimonials collected on his website praise his attentiveness and the relevance of his guidance: he helps musicians better understand their bodies and rediscover the joy of playing.

For Jérémy Sordel, the body is the first instrument. His ambition: to help everyone rediscover its accuracy and harmony. Between care, music, and pedagogy, he embodies a singular figure — that of a musician-therapist, craftsman of movement, and bearer of balance.
