The XJ-1T Jazz-Style by Xotic retains the classic aesthetics of vintage Jazz basses while incorporating modern innovations. Designed to meet the varied needs of bass players, it is available in 4, 5, and 6-string versions.
A wide choice of woods and finishes
The body is made of alder or ash, with elegant finishes such as Vintage White, Black Cherry Metallic, Yellow Blonde, and Walnut Blonde. Additional options like Electrum Metallic and Surf Green allow for unique customization.
A neck designed for comfort
Featuring an oil-finished maple neck and 21 or 22 Jescar Silver Nickel frets, the XJ-1T offers smooth playability and excellent comfort. The fingerboard is available in maple or rosewood, ensuring a balanced tonal response.
A high-performance electronic system
Xotic JB pickups with wooden covers are paired with a 3-band Xotic preamp operating at 18V, providing great dynamics. Two mini-switches allow for mid-frequency adjustment ( 400Hz/800Hz ) and treble ( 6kHz/12kHz ), offering a wide tonal range.
The controls include:
- Two volumes and a tone, with a push/pull switch to toggle between active and passive mode,
- A series/parallel switch for the pickups,
- An alternative version with a volume, balance, and tone control.

Hipshot Ultralite tuners ensure stable tuning while reducing the instrument’s weight. The bridge, available as Xotic A-Type or Hipshot, guarantees excellent vibration transmission.
